Waratah Opens New Bunbury, Australia Facility
Center To Provide Unmatched Service for Specialty Customers
MOLINE, Illinois (September 30, 2010) — In response to the special product and support needs of its debarking eucalyptus customers, Waratah Forestry Attachments has opened a Western Australia facility.
“The new parts and service center not only adds to our presence in Melbourne, but also provides our customers with unmatched customer service and support,” says Jules Larsen, general manager for Waratah Forestry Attachments, Asia-Pacific and Africa.
The new 5,300-square-foot facility, located at 22 Gibbons Road in Bunbury, singularly focuses on 616C harvester customers. A one-stop shop for customers to increase the uptime and productivity of their HTH616C harvesting heads, it features the sale of these compact harvester/processors, a comprehensive range of 616C parts, and expert product rebuilding and maintenance services.
Three employees will staff the new facility, and provide specialized service and support to the plantation eucalyptus market: Territory and Facility Manager Darren Pike, Service and Support Manager Jason Ratcliffe and Parts Distribution Manager Barry King.
“The expertise we’ve built over the years by serving this one specialized area of logging allows us to provide service that is second to none,” said Larsen.
“The new facility will be a very important hub to the new mechanized logging markets developing in South East Asia and Africa,” adds Larsen, who also cites an expected influx of customers to the facility from Indonesia, Malaysia and South Africa, where mechanized logging is in its infancy.
The Waratah Western facility’s grand opening was marked Sept. 30 by an on-site customer and staff dinner-event celebration, emceed by Larsen.
“We want our customers to know we’re not only here to serve their current needs but their long-term needs as well,” said Larsen.
